Sanctuaries for Useful Animals Set up in Nampho City
Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- A number of pheasants and roes were set free at sanctuaries newly established in picturesque areas of Nampho City.

More than 60 000 trees of good species have been planted and meadows and sites for water prepared at the sanctuaries.

Four-kilometer-long ring road was built and tens of thousands of trees of good species were planted at a sanctuary covering ninety hectares, enclosed with several-kilometer-long wire netting, in Ryonggang County.

A new sanctuary in the area of Kochang-ri, Chollima District lies 100 hectares.

Culverts were built in different places to prevent the flood damage and pools and feeding grounds provided for habitat.

The Nampho City is steadily pushing ahead with the increasing of the number of pheasants, roes and other animals and setting them free at sanctuaries.
