Founding Anniversary of ARF Marked by Swiss Organizations

Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- The Swiss Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea made public a joint statement on May 2 on the occasion of the 84th founding anniversary of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland (ARF).

The statement said:

President Kim Il Sung founded the ARF on May 5, 1936 to rally the broad masses under the banner of the anti-Japanese struggle.

The "Ten-Point Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland" formulated by the President comprehensively deals with tasks for accomplishing the historic cause of Korea's liberation and building a prosperous, independent, sovereign and democratic state, including the one for establishing the genuine government of the Korean people after overthrowing the ruling system of the Japanese imperialists.

The ARF, the first anti-Japanese national united front of Korea, had struggled for realizing the country's independence and sovereignty on the basis of the might of the Korean people while regarding the Juche idea founded by the President as its guideline.
