Great Military-Civilian Unity, Tradition of Korean Revolution
|
|
Pyongyang, May 7 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, a modern phosphatic fertilizer factory was built in Sunchon City, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK. Its completion equivalent to creating a new industrial sector is a fruition of the wise guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea and the great military-civilian unity. In different parts of the country such major construction projects as building of Pyongyang General Hospital, Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist area, Tanchon Power Station and Orangchon Power Station No.3 are now progressing apace on the strength of military-civilian coordination. The brilliant tradition of great military-civilian unity in the DPRK has been carried forward century after century. During the anti-Japanese armed struggle, President Kim Il Sung set forth the idea that as fish cannot live without water, so guerrillas cannot live without the people and thus opened up a new history of the military-civilian unity. Thanks to the devoted support of civilians, the Korean People's Revolutionary Army could defeat the Japanese imperialist gangsters even under the worst conditions of having neither state-backing home front nor assistance by a regular army. The victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and the epoch-making progress in the postwar rehabilitation and socialist construction, too, would have been unthinkable without the military-civilian unity. Chairman Kim Jong Il set the great military-civilian unity as a mainstay of the Songun revolution and led all the people and servicepersons to achieve brilliant victories in defending socialism while providing a firm springboard for building a powerful nation. Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has held fast to the great military-civilian unity and coordination as the powerful fighting mode of the Korean revolution and brought about drastic changes and miracles in the last eight years by opening up a new historic turning point in the building of a powerful socialist country. Grand monumental edifices built by servicepersons and civilians will always tell about the glorious history of the great military-civilian unity. |
