New Kinds of Flowers Registered as Garden Plant Species
Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- Ten kinds of ornamental flowers newly bred by the Pyongyang Floriculture Institute in the DPRK were registered as the state garden plant species recently.

Those flower species are strong in cold resistance and grow well even in high temperature. And their blooming periods and breeding coefficients are long and high.

Among them are Chrysanthemum morifolium "Bunga", Tulipa gesneriana "Strong Gold", Rosa Hybrida "Black Lady", Helichrythum bracteatum "Rose Beauty", Lilium hybridium "Algarve", Gladiolus hybridus "Priscilla" and Calceolaria herbeohybrida "Naine Daintt".

Ri Chol Jun, vice-head of the institute, told KCNA that it would breed many more beautiful flowers of good species which are easy to cultivate and grow well, thus contributing to decorating the whole country with flowers.
