In May Juche 104 (2015) the Supreme Leader visited the Sokmak Atlantic Salmon Pedigree Farm. He expressed his great satisfaction over the farm, saying it did a big thing without any announcement, mindful of Chairman Kim Jong Il's behest that salmon breeding is for the sake of the country and that the DPRK can squarely compete with other countries developed in pisciculture when it has succeeded in breeding salmon.

Happily seeing its outdoor and indoor ponds crowded with fishes, he said figuratively that the Sokmak Atlantic Salmon Pedigree Farm is "maternity home of fishes".

Thanks to his devoted efforts for the people, lots of valuable treasures have been created for the improvement of people's diet.
