S. Korea: Pro-Japanese Far-Rightists Slashed for Distorting History
Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore on May 13 carried an editorial critical of pro-Japanese far-rightists trying to distort history.

The editorial said that pro-Japanese bookmen and pressmen including Principal of "Syngman Rhee school" Ri Yong Hun, who published a book justifying the "theory of modernizing the colony" by the Japanese imperialists last year, made public another book titled "Fight against Anti-Japanese Tribalism" on May 11.

It went on:

The book described victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army as women who were engaged in sex traffic, not victims of plunder and abduction.

Its information was packaged in the distortion of history and sophism. For example, it branded the statements made by victims of conscript labor forced by the Japanese imperialists as lies.

Lucking behind the publication of the book is a political purpose to gather pro-Japanese far-rightists and check the settlement of the issues of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and conscript labor forced by the Japanese imperialists. This must never be tolerated.
