Referring to the fact that the Supreme Court sentenced ex-members of the Unified Progressive Party to imprisonment on a charge of violating the SL, the commentary said the decision of the court showed that the anachronistic SL has no grounds to exist.

The SL has been used as a means to outrage human rights of innocent people and crack down political oppositions since it was cooked up, the commentary said.

It stressed that the SL, an evil law against human rights, should be abolished.
