Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- According to the south Korean online paper Voice of People, an action was prompted by the citizens' committee in commemorations of the 40th anniversary of the May 18 Kwangju resistance on May 16 in demand of an apology from traitor Chun Doo Hwan. Members of the committee staged an automobile demonstration towards the traitor's house, shouting slogans such as "Chun Doo Hwan must apologize!" Upon arriving at the house, they set up a large model depicting traitor Chun Doo Hwan kneeling down with his hands bound, before having a press conference. Speakers at the conference said that 40 years have passed since the May 18 Kwangju resistance, but the murderer Chun has never made an apology for the massacre of Kwangju citizens. They stressed the south Korean people know well that Chun is the chief culprit of the massacre. Then a press release was read out. In the press release, they vowed to probe the truth behind the May 18 massacre and make Chun apologize without fail. |
