The editorial said that 40 years have elapsed since the Kwangju citizens turned out in the just struggle against Chun Doo Hwan's group of traitors.

It said that the citizens resisted the group of traitors who sent troops into the city in a bid to suppress the resistance after promulgating the "martial law".

Chun Doo Hwan military forces branded the fighters as "rioters" and massacred them by mobilizing tanks, helicopters and special forces, the editorial said.

It said that the data about the truth behind the massacre is being disclosed but Chun Doo Hwan has denied his crimes.

It said that justice and truth are certain to win, calling on all the people to liquidate the group of traitors in the spirit of the Kwangju popular resistance.
