Shutdown of Pro-Japanese Conservative Media Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- The People's Sovereignty Solidarity, the Progressive Federation of Students, etc. called a news conference outside the Chosun Ilbo Office on May 25 to declare an intensive action in demand of the shutdown of pro-Japanese conservative media, according to the south Korean internet paper Jaju Sibo.

The speakers condemned Chosun Ilbo, a pro-Japanese daily, for still carrying articles satisfying Japan's appetite.

They said that the daily is making false reports targeting Yun Mi Hyang, former executive director of the Justice Preserving Solidarity for Settling the Issue of Sexual Slavery of the Imperial Japanese Army who was elected to "National Assembly", for fear that the issue of Japan's apology and compensation for sexual slavery would become a subject of political discussion.

Then a press release was read out.

Noting that the daily has played a role of mouthpiece for Japan, the press release strongly demanded its shutdown.
