Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- Rallies took place in Seoul, Taegu and Pusan simultaneously on May 27 in demand of the settlement of the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, according to news reports.

The Pusan Women's Action for Solution of the Issue of Sexual Slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army sponsored a rally before the girl statue for peace in Pusan, where speakers condemned Japan for denying the sexual slavery in the past, refusing to make apology and compensation and seeking to erase the history of war crimes together with pro-Japanese forces in south Korea.

There was a similar rally before the girl statue in Taegue.

The participants in the rally called on all the citizens to make efforts for the settlement of the issue of sexual slavery.

They urged the Japanese government to make an official apology and reparation for the sexual slavery.

The participants in a rally held before the statue of a girl sexual slave near the Japanese embassy in Seoul denounced the conservative forces keen on reckless acts of finding faults with the activities of the Justice Preserving Solidarity for Settling the Issue of Sexual Slavery of the Imperial Japanese Army.
