The Academy of Forest Science of the General Bureau of Forest under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection grew high-yielding vitamin-trees and established their cultivating technology, thereby laying a foundation for spreading it in the northern alpine areas.

The Unhung experimental workteam of the Economic Forest Institute under the Academy of Forest Science produced and sent a large number of vitamin-tree saplings to various parts of the province and reaped a huge amount of fruit to produce drinks and medicine.

Various units in different parts of the province like Samjiyon City and Taehongdan and Samsu counties actively push forward the broad cultivation of high-yielding vitamin-trees.
