Shutdown of Pro-Japanese Media Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- Political parties and public organizations of south Korea including the People's Party and the Progressive Federation of Students demanded the shutdown of pro-Japanese conservative media at a press conference in Seoul on May 30, according to the south Korean internet paper Jaju Sibo.

The organizations said that, Chosun Ilbo was supporting Japan's standpoint in its articles and last year during the campaign for boycotting the Japanese goods, it in an article showed concerns over the souring relations between south Korea and Japan.

Saying that it was the first to applaud the coup of military gangsters Park Chung-Hee and Chun Doo Hwan, the organizations demanded the shutdown of Chosun Ilbo, pro-Japanese and undemocratic media.
