Rodong Sinmun on Sunday in a commentary says that the government organs of China are taking various measures for protecting the people's lives and property in Hong Kong and defending the security of the country.

No one has the right to slander and interfere in it, the commentary says, and goes on:

Any attempt to separate Hong Kong from the territory of China under the signboard of "independence" is never acceptable for China.

Hong Kong is an inalienable territory of China.

In view of the UN Charter, China's exercise of sovereignty over the issue of Hong Kong can not be put in question.

China maintains the firm stand to establish and complete the legal system and execution mechanism in Hong Kong special administrative region for defending the security of the country and not to allow any acts of challenging the limit of "one country and two systems" and splitting the country.

Residents in Hong Kong are hailing the institution of the state security law in Hong Kong, appreciating it as the one for keeping the principle of "one country and two systems" and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of Hong Kong citizens.

China has the right of decision on the issue of Hong Kong.

Very reasonable are the measures taken by China for defending the sovereignty, security, development and interests of the country.
