Bases of Extracurricular Education in Traffic Safety for Children Built
Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- In recent years, excellent bases conducive to the extracurricular education of children in traffic safety have been built across the country.

Officials and working people across the country set scenic places as locations for parks for teaching children traffic regulations, designed them to preserve the features of the given areas and stepped up their building before taking measures for operation.

Pyongyang City has ensured that the parks were built in various districts and counties including the area of Ryonmot-dong and that the theoretical education in traffic safety regulations and education with different mock training equipment are conducted so that the children can actually experience various situations and acquire the corresponding traffic knowledge.

South and North Phyongan provinces provided necessary gear including various types of battery cars and bicycles and ensured that tunnels, iron bridges, urban road networks, traffic lights, signposts, etc. were built like real ones.

The traffic security officers of North and South Hwanghae and Jagang provinces used the rooms for the education in traffic safety to plainly explain the traffic safety regulations and rules such as directions, warnings and guide notes to the pupils of junior and senior middle schools.

Kangwon and North Hamgyong provinces and Nampho City built halls for education in traffic safety and areas for physical training and intellectual development to be suited to the children's psychology, and are widely conducting the education in common traffic safety knowledge and regulations among children and schoolchildren ranging from kindergartens to senior middle schools, by making use of various gear.

Officials and working people across the country also built resting places with service facilities around modern parks, and realized the greening of the parks by planting trees and grass of good species.
