Spokesman for Zhongnan Regional Association in China Issues Statement

Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Zhongnan Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China?on June 6 made public a statement titled "South Korean authorities who left acts of human scum 'defectors from the north' to take its own course should properly understand the gravity and catastrophic aftereffect of the situation and do what they should do".

The statement said that Koreans in China strongly accused "defectors from the north" of scattering anti-DPRK leaflets and the south Korean authorities of conniving at it.

It went on:

The south Korean authorities should bear in mind the serious warning issued by the DPRK.

No feelings of regret nor an intent to prevent the recurrence of any acts of inflaming tension could have been felt from the south Korean authorities so far.

They have abrogated the historic declaration and agreement which they promised to commit before the nation, and escalated hostility and tension.

The south Korean authorities should stop their foolish trumpeting but do what they should do, bearing in mind the statement made by the first vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea who is in charge of the work towards the south in the DPRK.
