The statement said that it is an unpardonable and heinous crime and hostile act more serious than gunfire provocation that the "defectors from the north" who are worse than wild animals impudently found fault with the "nuclear issue" while slandering the dignity of our supreme leadership in the forefront areas.

It went on:

All officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan vehemently accuse with towering rage the human scum of their mean and provocative act of slandering the dignity of the supreme leadership of the Republic and the south Korean authorities of their treacherous and cunning behavior of conniving at the foolish act.

It was an appropriate answer to the south Korean authorities' betrayal that our Republic decided to definitely turn the work towards the south into the one against enemy and took a measure of completely cutting off all the communication and liaison lines between the north and the south as the first step.

The south Korean authorities should make the human scum not act rashly and immediately stop all the hostile acts against the Republic, far from talking about a "measure for preventing the leaflet-scattering and efficient plan for improvement of the system" without any self-reproach and reflection of their acts of driving the inter-Korean relations to the catastrophe out of sycophancy towards the U.S. and confrontation with the fellow countrymen.

Every official of Chongryon and Korean compatriot will never allow any smear campaign of anti-reunification forces hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the Republic and the perfidious act of the south Korean authorities but confidently keep to the broad avenue to independence and national reunification against the U.S., the statement concluded.
