Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to Russian President
Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Friday sent a message of greeting to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, on the occasion of its national day.

He in the message extended warm congratulations to the president, the government and people of the Russian Federation on behalf of the government and people of the DPRK.

The message said that the Russian people have achieved great successes in the struggle for building a powerful and prosperous Russia while overcoming all kinds of challenges and trials under the energetic leadership of the Russian president, and the Korean people were heartily pleased with their successes.

The message said that it fully conforms with the aspiration and desire of the two peoples to further strengthen and develop the long-standing precious traditions of the DPRK-Russian friendship as required by the new times.

Kim Jong Un in the message said he reminisced with joy about the significant first meeting in April last year with the Russian president in the beautiful port city of Vladivostok of the Russian Federation, expressing firm belief that the joint recognition and agreements between him and the Russian president would be implemented without fail to dynamically promote the development of the strategic and traditional relations of friendship between the DPRK and Russia.

He, availing himself of the opportunity, sincerely wished the Russian president health and greater success in his responsible work and the friendly Russian people welfare and prosperity.
