The statement said that the DPRK took measures of completely cutting off and shutting down the liaison line between the authorities of the north and the south which had been maintained through the north-south joint liaison office, the East and West seas communication lines between the militaries of the north and the south, the inter-Korean trial communication line and the hotline between the office building of the Central Committee of the WPK and the Chongwadae from 12:00 on June 9, 2020.

The association branded the south Korean authorities' connivance at the scattering of anti-DPRK leaflets by "defectors from the north" as an anti-DPRK hostile act indelible down through generations to come and fully supported the crucial measures of completely cutting off and shutting down all the communication lines taken by the DPRK, the statement said, and went on:

The south Korean authorities often speak publicly of "dialogue" and "cooperation" with the DPRK but behind the scene it hasn't put into practice even a single article of the military agreement while waging various kinds of military exercises irritating the DPRK and keeping straining the situation on the Korean peninsula. At the same time they connived at the act of scattering reactionary leaflets by human scum "defectors from the north" on May 31 which openly insulted the supreme dignity of the DPRK in the forefront area where the north and south are in acute confrontation with each other.

This proved the iron truth that the south Korean authorities are enemy we must guard against, not a party to be tolerated as they carry no intent to implement the historic north-south declarations and military agreements they agreed on before the nation but connived at the act of human scum worse than animals.

No mercy and forgiveness can be shown to those, who insult the supreme dignity which is the mental pillar and life of all people in the DPRK and overseas compatriots, wherever they might be on earth.

The measures taken by the DPRK are only the start of the comeuppance to be meted out by the enraged Korean people to the south Korean authorities who connived at the reckless act of human scum "defectors from the north".

The south Korean authorities should come back to their senses now and give top priority to national interests, not reading others' faces. They should keep deep in their mind that doing work beneficial to peace, security and co-prosperity of the Korean peninsula is the way of making atonement to nation.
