Two Schoolgirls Killed by GIs Remembered in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- With the lapse of 18 years since the schoolgirls Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son were crushed to death under an armored vehicle of the U.S. army, their bereaved families and civic organizations have built a peace park named after the girls at the scene of the crime, according the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo.

A memorial service took place in the park on June 13.

Speakers said that the peace park has been built in memory of the schoolgirls and others who fell victim to GIs' crimes.

Saying that the south Korea-U.S. "Status of Forces Agreement" has not yet been revised, they declared that they would begin a struggle to put an end to the inequitable relations between south Korea and the U.S. from that day.
