Implementation of North-South Agreement Urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- Workers of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Trade Unions of south Korea held on June 13 a press conference before the Seoul Sejong Cultural Center to call for implementation of the north-south agreement in spirit of national independence, according to the south Korean paper Nodong and Segye.

The June 15 Joint Declaration was made public and the April 27 Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration adopted between the north and south, but none of them has been implemented and the bilateral confidence was broken, said the speakers.

The future of the nation should be brought about independently by our nation itself, they stressed.
