S. Korean Authorities Accused of Reneging on North-South Agreement in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations launched a struggle in protest against south Korean authorities who have reneged on the north-south agreement, according to the south Korean Internet newspaper Tongil News.

The Seoul committee for the promotion of the August 15 meeting for national independence held a press conference outside Chongwadae on June 20, where it expressed its will to wage a struggle until the "government" rejects the foreign forces and takes practical measures for mending the south-north relations.

A press release signed by 172 organizations of south Korea was read out.

It urged the "government" to take the responsibility for failing to implement the south-north agreement.

It stressed that the "government" should quit the south Korea-U.S. working group, put an eternal end to the south Korea-U.S. joint military exercises and punish the organization of "defectors from the north" which scattered anti-DPRK leaflets and its conspirators.

The participants held a press conference again outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul, urging the U.S. to dissolve the working group and stop its interference in the south-north relations.
