Attempted Removal of Girl Sexual Slavery Statue Protested in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- University students of the Joint Action of Youth and Students against Abe and Japan staged a sit-down strike in front of the statue of a girl sexual slave near the Japanese embassy in Seoul on June 23, according to the south Korean online newspaper Voice of People.

They denounced the far-right organizations for openly revealing their intention to remove the statue by hanging the "flag of rising sun shedding rays" symbolic of Japanese imperialism on the back of the statue.

Accusing the far-right organizations for distorting and smearing the movement for settling the issue of sexual slavery of the Japanese Imperial Army, they evinced their will to stage a sit-in until the statue is secured.
