Hundreds of reservoirs and embankments, drainage canals of over 660 km and irrigation and drainage facilities have been overhauled and seawalls of tens of kilometers reinforced.

Over 2,240 dangerous spots have been reinforced to reduce the damage by flood, heavy rain and rainstorm to the minimum.

Rural communities on the west coast have taken substantial steps to protect farmland and cereals from natural disasters.

Those on the east coast have also taken thorough measures to prevent damage during the rainy season.
