April and July are the months for protection of marine resources in the country.

On the basis of correct survey of marine resources in all territorial waters, the amounts of catch for fishery units are set and such detailed plans as prohibition of fishing according to seasons and marine resources to be conserved or propagated have been worked out.

And big effort has been directed to developing the technologies for artificial spawning and cultivation of aquatic animals and plants.

Meanwhile, fishery stations across the country are stocking the rivers, lakes, reservoirs and sea with fries of silver carp, Alaska Pollack, salmon, flatfish, swellfish and other fishes.

According to data available, more than 1 100 millions of fries have been released since 2016.
