Korean Women Leading Worthwhile Life
Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Seventy-four years has passed since the Law on Sex Equality was promulgated in the DPRK on July 30, 1946.

From that time on, the Korean women have grown up to be a powerful force of the revolution and construction under the loving care of the peerlessly great persons.

President Kim Il Sung placed their position on the highest level for the first time in the history and defined them as a powerful force pushing one of the two wheels of the revolutionary chariot. He set it as one of the three major tasks of the technical revolution to free women from the heavy burden of housekeeping and saw to it that such social policies for the women as bringing up the children at the state expense were steadily enforced.

Under the loving care of Chairman Kim Jong Il, the trait of giving priority to the women was more admirably established in the country. Inspecting military units in the latter half of the 1990s, the Chairman showed his deepest trust in the servicewomen and the officers' wives by calling them women revolutionaries and cooks for the Supreme Headquarters.

True to the idea and intention of the President and the Chairman, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has wisely guided the women to fully discharge their role as the flowers of the era for the prosperity of the country and the harmony and happiness of society and household.

Today, the DPRK women are displaying their dignity under the benefit of the best socialist system.
