Health-seekers Lead Happy Life at Home for Aged
Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- Five years has passed since the modern Pyongyang Old People's Home was built on the picturesque bank of the Taedong River in the DPRK on August 7, Juche 104 (2015).

At the home, health-seekers are spending their remaining years in comfort under the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea for the care of the elderly.

According to Director Choe Chong Sim, there are several hundred fruit trees like apple, jujube, persimmon and vine around the home and its inmates are fond of gardening.

The home is provided with foodstuff, medicines, clothes, etc, under the state supply system. And famous hospitals, including Ryugyong Dental Hospital, Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital, Kim Man Yu Hospital and Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, are in charge of the inmates' health.

Among those inmates are three war veterans who attended the 6th National Conference of War Veterans held on July 27. Jin Yun Ok (aged 85), one of them, told KCNA that they are the happiest old people in the world as they have nothing to worry about under the loving care of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
