Legends Praising President Kim Il Sung as General of Mt Paektu
Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- In the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary war, the Korean people praised President Kim Il Sung as "General of Mt Paektu" and "Tiger of Mt Paektu".

Many legends about the President were told among the people whenever he mowed down the Japanese imperialist aggressors with ever-changing guerrilla war methods and tactics. Reflected in the legends were the Korean people's great joy and trust in him as their leader who would save the country and the nation from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule.

In spring of Juche 28 (1939), the President commanded an attack on Banjiegou in Changbai County of China by taking advantage of lunar eclipse. At that time, people said that "General Kim Il Sung is the commander of matchless valor attacking the enemy by means of weather conditions."

Though the Japanese imperialists applied all sorts of war methods and tactics like a tactic of violent attack and tenacious pursuit and a hair-comb tactic, they had got a telling blow from the Korean People's Revolutionary Army led by the President.

That's why the Korean people had lauded the President as the "savior of the fellow countrymen with the spirit of Mt Paektu" and the "Heaven-sent saint bringing all blessings to the people".
