Regarding the people's sufferings as his, the Supreme Leader sent lots of food and subsidy for the citizens in Kaesong City completely locked down under the state's maximum emergency system.

He also learned in detail about the situation of flood-stricken Taechong-ri on the spot and indicated the tasks and ways for recovery. He took steps to stabilize the life of the homeless. So, the flood victims and other people are now moved to tears by such meticulous care of the Supreme Leader who supplied reserve grain of the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission to them.

In September Juche 105 (2016) when inhabitants in northern part of North Hamgyong Province were left homeless due to flood damage, the Supreme Leader took an important measure unprecedented in history, saying there is no emergency than the pain of the people and no important revolutionary work is as crucial as alleviating their misfortune.

That's why the DPRK people call the Supreme Leader their benevolent father.
