The Korean Association of Cooks developed a method for preparing dishes with this plant. In particular, tea made with its leaves has special taste, flavor and high pharmacological effect.

In this regard, Ri Chol Ryong, a researcher of the Central Botanical Garden in the DPRK, told KCNA:

The value of a leave of Aegopodium Podagraria L. for tea is very high before flowering.

In April Juche 99 (2010), Chairman Kim Jong Il, who had always worked heart and soul for the improvement of people's diet and health, took a step to spread this plant, under experimental cultivation at the Central Botanical Garden, across the country.

The plant is now cultivated in various parts of the country including North and South Phyongan provinces.
