After the fist camping of Children's Union members took place in August Juche 49 (1960), at least 470,000 schoolchildren from across the country and foreign countries have enjoyed themselves there.

Foreign campers and visitors said it is so marvelous that there is a camp for children in such a scenic place, out of envy of the schoolchildren in the DPRK who have led happy life under the warm care of the peerlessly great men.
