The book contains 95 works including speeches, talks, reports and concluding speeches made by the President from August to December, Juche 36 (1947).

The works deal with the ideology and theory and strategic and tactical policies illuminating the path for building a prosperous independent and sovereign state including the ones for strengthening the Party and the people's government and achieving independent development of the national economy after the national liberation.

In the works, the President called for developing the Party into a powerful one, firmly rallying the broad masses around the people's government, further strengthening the democratic national united front and vigorously carrying on the general ideological mobilization movement for nation building.

He also indicated the tasks and ways for laying firm material foundations for building a democratic and independent sovereign state, founding a strong regular army as early as possible and establishing an all-people national defence system.

He clarified the ideas of decisively intensifying the Party's guidance over social organizations, bringing about a fundamental turn in the work of social organizations, improving the education of younger generation and training of national cadres and making the teachers fully prepared politically and ideologically.

There are also the works giving perfect answers to the theoretical and practical problems arising in building a democratic and independent sovereign state such as the issue of bringing up the children of the revolutionary martyrs to be good revolutionaries as desired by their parents, the issue of developing literature and art and vigorously conducting the mass cultural work and the issue of exerting greater efforts on the development of physical culture and sports of the country.
