Pyongyang Corn Processing Factory

Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- The demand for "Hwanggumisak"-trademarked products of the Pyongyang Corn Processing Factory is now growing at public catering establishments in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK. In this regard, Ryom Sol Mi, manager of the factory, told KCNA: At present the factory produces 40-odd varieties of corn products in nearly 20 kinds, including corn chopped noodles, fried glutinous corn cake and corn tea. Over the last five years after the start of its operation, the factory has carried into practice scores of important technical innovation plans to improve the quality of products. It remodeled equipment and process to improve the smoothness of a strip of noodle and increase the production of corn oil effective for preventing arteriosclerosis. It also raised the quality of corn sweet jelly, corn tea, riced corn, steamed corn bread and other kinds of products. In fact, the development of the factory is associated with the peerlessly great persons' loving care for the people. President Kim Il Sung worked heart and soul to supply various kinds of corn foodstuffs to the citizens and Chairman Kim Jong Il set forth the task for building a modern corn processing factory in Pyongyang and indicated the directions and ways for its realization. Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un settled all the problems arising in the construction and operation of the factory. And he visited the factory in late August Juche 104 (2015) to stress the need to normalize its production on a high level. |
