Being sick at heart about misfortune suffered by the flood-afflicted people in Kangwon, North Hwanghae and other provinces, the Supreme Leader said that it is a crucial time for our Party to be responsible for their living and go closer to them to share the pain with them and relieve them of their sufferings.

The Supreme Leader, regarding it as his sacred mission to make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people, has made ceaseless journey of field guidance for the people since the outset of this year.

He visited the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory under construction, which will contribute to the improvement of the people's standard of living, as his first field guidance of the New Year and attended the ceremony for starting the construction of the Pyongyang General Hospital to break ground first in March.

To cope with the worldwide pandemic, he convened in succession meetings of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and discussed the issues for protecting the people and ensuring their living conditions.

Recently, he visited a flood-stricken farm village in Unpha County, worrying about the people who lost their houses and properties, and took steps for earlier stabilization of their living. He, not feeling relived, again visited the farm early next morning and unfolded a great rehabilitation plan.
