The mountain tells about the loving care shown by Chairman Kim Jong Il for servicepersons.

One day in August Juche 87 (1998), the Chairman embarked on his inspection of a unit of the Korean People's Army defending Mt Osong. At that time, commanding officers of the unit and officials accompanying him said that it was impossible to go up to the top of the mountain along the sloppy road due to a long spell of rainy weather.

But he did not hesitate to go up to the mountaintop, saying that there are his beloved soldiers on it. After all, he had to go through critical moments and push the slipping car sometimes.

Arriving at the forward post on the top of the mountain, he took warm care of servicemen.
