Carried in it are 68 works including talks, speeches and letters released by Kim Jong Il in the period from January to December Juche 68 (1979).

Kim Jong Il in the work "Our Leader Is a Peerlessly Great Man Who Values the Revolutionary Obligation" and other works underlined the need to erect the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the highest level and attach top priority to giving wide publicity to the greatness of the President.

Clarified in the work "On Strengthening the Political and Ideological Unity and Cohesion of the Party" and other works are the idea of firmly ensuring the leadership of the Party by establishing the steel-like discipline of thoroughly and unconditionally implementing the Party's decisions and directions and enhancing the militant capabilities and role of the Party organizations.

The work "Let Us Thoroughly Implement the Party's Strategic Policy on Living Our Own Way" and other works deal with the ideas of firmly adhering to the revolutionary principle of solving all problems arising in revolution and construction in our own way under the uplifted banner of the Juche idea, fully ensuring the Party leadership to economic activities and bringing about new upsurge in the socialist economic construction by giving full play to the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude.

The collection also carries such works as those that indicate the tasks and ways for establishing the system of the Party leadership in the People's Army, further sharpening the revolutionary vigilance as required by the prevailing situation and intensifying combat drills and preparations.

Contained in it are works in which Kim Jong Il underscored the need to create literary pieces depicting the leader on the basis of historical facts and further develop our literary and arts, including film, music and acrobatics, by diversifying programs and styles of theatrical art performances and applying the Juche-oriented methods of creation.

The collection carries works giving perfect answers to theoretical and practical problems arising in the socialist construction.
