A congratulatory message sent by the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was conveyed to scientists, technicians and employees of the branch greeting its 60th founding anniversary on August 30.

The branch is a prestigious scientific research institute which plays an important role in scientifically guaranteeing and propelling the work for putting the chemical industry on a Juche and modern basis.

President Kim Il Sung founded the branch on Aug. 30, Juche 49 (1960) and visited it several times to detail its job and showed warm loving care for its researchers and employees.

Chairman Kim Jong Il inspected the branch several times and clearly set forth the orientation and ways for research and made sure that it was provided with adequate experimental equipment and electricity and dwelling houses were built for its researchers and employees.

Its 60 year-long history records the brilliant creations and feats it has made by faithfully upholding the Party's idea of attaching importance to science and technology.
