The Lao president in the message extended best wishes to Kim Jong Un, and through him, to the WPK Central Committee, the fraternal government and all the people of the DPRK on behalf of the LPRP Central Committee, the government and the National Assembly and people of the LPDR and for his part on the occasion of the 72nd founding anniversary of the DPRK.

The message said:

I am very pleased that the Korean people have achieved comprehensive and great successes for the past 72 years since the foundation of the DPRK and for the past 75 years since the foundation of the WPK in firmly preserving the political stability of the country, steadily developing the economy, strengthening the national defence and security and improving the people's livelihood under the experienced and determined guidance of the WPK. I am also very glad about the ever-promoting status and role of the DPRK in the regional and international arenas.

I take great pride in the traditional and favorable relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, which have steadily developed to provide the peoples of the two countries with substantial benefits and made tangible contributions to regional and global peace, stability cooperation and development since they were provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries.

I am firmly convinced that the DPRK will achieve ceaseless development and progress in attaining its goal of building a powerful socialist country and achieve peaceful reunification of the country free from outsiders' interference under the determined leadership of the WPK headed by you.

The Lao president, availing himself of that auspicious opportunity, sincerely wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and fresh bigger success in his noble and honorable work for turning the state into a powerful one.
