The Anju City Fish Breeding Station has secured thousands of breeding fishes and put their raising and tending on a scientific basis to provide a foundation for increasing sweet fish in the Chongchon River.

Meanwhile, fish farms and breeding farms across the country are striving to create a favorable environment for the spawning of freshwater fishes in rivers, lakes and reservoirs.
