The Vietnamese president in the message extended, on behalf of the Party, state and people of Vietnam, warm congratulations to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, and through him, to the Party, state and people of the DPRK on the occasion of the 72nd founding anniversary of the DPRK (Sept. 9, 1948-Sept. 9, 2020).

It said that the fraternal Korean people have achieved a lot of great successes in the cause of building and developing the country and improving the people's living standard for the past 72 years under the leadership of the WPK headed by President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Chairman Kim Jong Un.

It expressed belief that the fraternal Party, state and people of the DPRK would achieve bigger successes in the future under the leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Un.

It expressed pleasure over great important progress made in the cooperative relations between the two parties and countries after Chairman Kim Jong Un's official friendly visit to Vietnam in March, 2019.

Noting that the relevant institutions of the two parties and countries have positively implemented the issues agreed by him and Chairman Kim Jong Un, the Vietnamese president said in the message that Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and countries and wishes to further develop the relations in the interests of the peoples of the two countries and for the peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the rest of the world.

The message also wished the WPK the successful holding of its 8th Congress in January 2021.

It wished Kim Jong Un good health and more successes in fulfilling his noble duties.
