In the days of the anti-Japanese revolution, the President set forth the Juche-based line on building a people's power and accumulated a valuable experience for embodying it.

After the country's liberation from Japan's colonial rule, he advanced the most correct nation-building line by making public such immortal works as "On Building the Party, State and Armed Forces in the Liberated Homeland" and "On Progressive Democracy".

Stressing the need to establish a Democratic People's Republic representing the interests of all the Korean people, he guided the work to form a democratic national united front involving the peasants, intellectuals, conscientious native capitalists and all other democratic forces led by the working-class.

He saw to it that the tasks for the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution like agrarian reform and nationalization of major industries were carried out and the Provisional People's Committee of North Korea was developed into the People's Committee of North Korea consolidated by law through a democratic election.

On this basis, he declared the foundation of the DPRK, a unified government in Korea as a whole, on September 9, Juche 37 (1948).

The birth of the DPRK was a brilliant victory of the Juche-based nation-building line set forth by the President and a historic event that turned Korea into an independent and sovereign state and its people into a genuine master of the state and society.

Holding fast to the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist idea of state building as a steadfast guiding principle, the DPRK is now displaying its dignity and might as a genuine country of the people and an invincible independent power under the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
