DPRK Founding Anniversary Marked by British and Swiss Organizations

Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- British and Swiss organizations issued joint statements on Sept. 1 to mark the 72nd founding anniversary of the DPRK. The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Korean Friendship Association UK said in their joint statement that Sept. 9, 1948 was an important day when the first people's democratic state was founded in the East. Under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the DPRK demonstrated its dignity as a country strong in its independent stand on the international arena, strictly maintaining Juche in ideology, independence in politics, self-sufficiency in economy and self-reliance in defence, the statement noted. It said that the DPRK, wisely led by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, is pushing forward the socialist construction, smashing all sorts of provocation by the imperialists under the uplifted banner of the Juche idea. The DPRK will shine forever as the powerful country of Juche, it stressed. The Swiss Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Switzerland said in their joint statement that Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK and thus set an example in the building of an independent and sovereign state. For more than 70 years since its foundation, the DPRK has accelerated the building of Korean-style socialism, firmly consolidating the foundation of its self-supporting national economy, the statement added. The socialist cause of Juche led by Leader Kim Jong Il has been successfully carried forward by Chairman Kim Jong Un, it noted. Thanks to the outstanding and tested leadership of Kim Jong Un, the DPRK will dynamically advance toward a new victory and bring earlier its bright future, it stressed. |
