Greetings to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un from Kenyan President
Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from Uhuru Kenyatta, president of the Republic of Kenya, on August 30.

The president in the message extended the sincerest congratulations and best wishes to Kim Jong Un, and through him, to the government of the DPRK and the great Korean people on behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Kenya and on his own behalf on the auspicious occasion of the 72nd founding anniversary of the DPRK.

The president availed the significant holiday to highly appreciate that the Republic of Kenya and the DPRK have a long-standing relations of friendship and cooperation.

He extended thanks to Kim Jong Un for sincere support and cooperation of the DPRK for recent Kenya's election as UNSC non-permanent member.

As regards the start of Kenya's UNSC non-permanent membership from January, 2021, he expressed belief that two countries would respect international law and norms in the peaceful settlement of disputes and closely cooperate with each other to create the atmosphere of one accord, transparency and trust in settling current important matters, including global peace and security, terrorism and climate change, and in providing all the peace-loving peoples with rosier future.

He hoped that he, together with Kim Jong Un and the government of the DPRK, would make joint efforts to further boost the bilateral relations in the common interests of the two countries and peoples.

He wished Kim Jong Un happiness in good health and the people of the DPRK continued prosperity.
