Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- On display at the Korean Revolution Museum in the DPRK are a certificate of DPRK Hero and Gold Star Medal and Order of National Flag First Class conferred on the anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk in praise of her undying feats and noble revolutionary career. In her lifetime Kim Jong Suk had done all what she could do for President Kim Il Sung and the revolution. When joining the Korean People's Revolutionary Army in September Juche 24 (1935), she told her comrades, looking at stars in a night sky: As the stars in that sky always twinkle with help of the sunlight, all of us should hold General Kim Il Sung in high esteem as the sun of the nation and act as stars following only the General forever. With this pledge kept in her mind, she had reliably defended the President politico-ideologically and at the risk of her life as his bodyguard and conducted energetic political activities among people to implant his revolutionary line in their mind during the anti-Japanese war. Even after Korea's liberation from Japan's colonial rule on August 15, 1945, she had played the role of bodyguard for the President on her own accord and worked hard to arouse the popular masses of different strata to the struggle for carrying into practice his plan on building a new country. |
