Construction units across the country are using high-grade building materials made of such natural stones as granite, marble and natural slate.

In recent years, quality processed stones produced by Osoksan and Ryonggang granite mines and the Korea Natural Stone Processing Trading Corporation were used in sprucing-up of Samjiyon City and construction of Ryomyong Street and many other objects.

Patterns of natural stones are preserved in the production of processed stones including granite fence, natural stone-pattern ornamental fence, baluster, handrail and interior and exterior grinding plate stones.

The Kangdong Stone Tile Mine started the production of glossy black-colored stone tiles with white cloudscape patterns.

Those tiles have been introduced into the construction of the Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist area and other various construction objects.
