3rd Meeting of 30th Central Committee of UDKWJ Held
Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- The 3rd Meeting of the 30th Central Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan (UDKWJ) was held at the Korean Hall in Tokyo.

Present there were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Kang Chu Ryon, its vice-chairwoman and concurrently chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the UDKWJ, Nam Ju Hyon, its vice-chairperson and organizational department director, Kwon Kyong Ae, its vice-chairwoman, and other members of its Central Committee.

The meeting was held to discuss and decide on the measures for implementing the decision made at the enlarged meeting of the 3rd Session of the 24th Central Committee of Chongryon without fail.

Pak Ku Ho delivered a speech.

He said that the people in the homeland are waging an all-out drive to successfully greet the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and its Eighth Congress.

The main spirit of the enlarged meeting is to successfully carry forward the patriotic traditions, boldly overcoming the present difficulties unprecedented in the history of Chongryon, and to radically improve the movement of Koreans in Japan in the great era of Kim Jong Un, he said.

Then, Kang Chu Ryon made a report.

She stressed the need to actively cope with the manifold difficulties and changing circumstances and conditions, further consolidate the UDKWJ organizationally and ideologically in order to implement the decision of the enlarged meeting of the 3rd Session of the 24th Central Committee of Chongryon, effect decisive innovations in the working methods of the union as required by the patriotic movement.

She also called for establishing a strict crisis control system for combating COVID-19.

Speeches were followed and a letter to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
