The revolutionary forerunners had performed heroic feats in the annals of the revolution including the periods of the anti-Japanese armed struggle and the Fatherland Liberation War, devoting their all to the country and the people and to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of posterity.

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un regards the first and second generations of the revolution, who achieved Korea's liberation and won in the Fatherland Liberation War, as the country's priceless treasures and bestows all sorts of favors on them. And he has put the life of revolutionary and patriotic martyrs and heroes who rendered distinguished service in different chronicles of the revolution on the meridian of glory.

He said at the 6th National Conference of War Veterans that the climate of respecting, holding up and according preferential treatment to the war veterans and other forerunners of the revolution should be established as an unshakable national trait. His instruction made the trait of respecting the revolutionary forerunners be further displayed among the people.

In the country, the officials, working people and youths regard it as their moral obligation to show deep care for war veterans as they would do for their own parents and relatives.

Medical workers spare no sincerity for the war veterans' health, regularly conducting medical checkup and commercial and welfare service amenities offer the special service for them.
