Chairman Kim Jong Il's Party Leadership Exploits Praised by British Political Party and Organizations

Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- The New Communist Party of Britain, the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Korean Friendship Association UK and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification of the Korean Peninsula issued a joint statement on October 2 on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The statement said that Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea was a reflection of the unanimous desire of all the Party members and other people.

It said that it is also an expression of absolute support for and trust in the peerlessly great man who led the WPK to victory and glory for scores of years.

It noted that throughout the period of leading the WPK, Kim Jong Il, who carried forward the revolutionary cause of President Kim Il Sung, united the masses of the people around the Party while always finding himself among the people.

Thanks to his leadership, the WPK has resolutely smashed the imperialists' moves of stifling the DPRK, marshaled the people for the struggle to achieve the economic development and improve the people's standard of living and achieved great successes in it, the statement said.

It stressed that the exploits Kim Jong Il performed in leading the Party will be remembered forever.
