Present at the ceremony were Ri Il Hwan, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, officials, journalists and editors in the field of press.

On display in the venue of the exhibition are works of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and over 20,000 publications of 10,000 varieties, brought out in the DPRK and other countries.

The exhibits also include books on the revolutionary traditions and the five-point education, on the Party policies and on the great personalities of the peerlessly great men, along with scientific, technological and literary books.

Ri Il Hwan in his speech made at the opening ceremony referred to the ideological and theoretical feats of the President and the Chairman who founded and continuously developed in depth the immortal Juche idea to lead the revolutionary cause of Juche, pioneered in Mt Paektu, to brilliant victory.

Thanks to the energetic guidance of the Supreme Leader, the socialist cause of Juche is dynamically advancing towards a new higher stage, he said.

He called for more deeply cherishing the idea and feats of the peerlessly great men, fully equipping with the Party policies, and acquiring profound knowledge and broad common sense.
