From the first day of its founding, the WPK has regarded the people as heaven and advanced the revolution by relying on them.

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who regarded it as their motto to believe in the people as in Heaven, built the WPK into a mass party and a genuine mother party which is responsible for the people's destiny and takes care of them.

Whenever adopting new lines and policies, the WPK paid attention to the voice of the people and made epoch-making changes in reliance on their inexhaustible strength. It invariably maintained the popular policies including the free compulsory education system and the free medical care system, even when the country was undergoing difficulties.

Under the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the WPK has fully performed its duty as a mother party by setting it as its mode of existence to make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people and the slogan "Everything for the people and everything by relying on them!" as the basic mode of its activities and the principle of officials' activities.

In those days, such touching stories and scenes were made as that the leader enjoyed an art performance sitting on a common seat side by side with ordinary citizens, personally attended the trial operation of tube train, cableway and amusement facilities to be used by the people, carried a scientist of merit on his back and made bows to ordinary working people.

Grieving over the misfortune of the flood-afflicted people, the Supreme Leader saw to it that they could live in the buildings of county party committee and people's committee without trouble, and energetically guided the work for recovery from natural disasters.

Looking up to his benevolent image, the people keenly feel once again that the WPK is the genuine mother party taking warm care of all the people.

That's why the DPRK people have entrusted their destiny and future entirely to the WPK, saying that their home is the care of the Party.
